How can we combat sedentary lifestyles at work?
To combat sedentary lifestyles at work, and whenever possible, you can start by walking or cycling to work every day. Before settling down at your desk, you can also do 5 to 10 minutes of stretching, focusing on your shoulders and pelvis. Think about standing up during a telephone conversation or videoconference meeting. Finally, try to get up and move for 2 to 3 minutes every hour, or 15 minutes every half-day during a break, for example.
