Tackle a preventive health topic through a series of podcasts
The Ramsay Sante Foundation website has taken an interest in bullying at school, which can have a serious impact on young people's mental health. The creation of a podcast is a concrete way of tackling this issue: poignant testimonies from young people who have been harassed, and speakers who are leaders in the fight against this scourge.
While bullying has always existed at school, it's the level of tolerance that has evolved, and above all, the violence of its extension onto social networks that is unprecedented. The psychological after-effects of an episode of bullying often remain present and painful, even years later.
For all these reasons, and as an extension of the Rencontres prévention santé on the theme of school bullying, the Foundation is supporting the production of a 4-part podcast "Le Roi du silence" (The King of Silence), based on testimonials from young people, experts, parents and educational staff, and produced by podcaster Emmanuelle Myoux.

Episode 1: The scale of the phenomenon
Like 700,000 schoolchildren every year, Anne-Liz and Juliette have been victims of bullying at school. For both of them, the hell began in middle school. For others, it started even younger. For 1 in 10 pupils, it's a daily reality they have to face day after day. To better understand the extent of this phenomenon and its consequences, we went to meet them.

Episode 4: breaking the spiral
Over the last ten years or so, many wonderful initiatives have been launched to prevent, raise awareness of and combat bullying in schools.
In this latest episode, we give them their say.
Faced with a situation of bullying at school,"adults really need to take immediate action. Immediacy is part of the effectiveness of the method," insists Jean-Pierre Bellon.
"The legal age for accessing social networks is 13. What we're seeing today is that by 6th grade, one child in two already has an account on social networks. The aim is to work with children from the earliest age to support the practices they need to adopt," emphasizes Daniel Jasmin.
