How can I prevent STIs?

Categories FAQ
STDS / STIS
General

There are different ways of protecting against STIs/STIs, depending on the type of intercourse. These include the male condom, for vaginal, anal or oral penetration, or the female condom for vaginal penetration only. A dental dam can be used for protection during certain oral practices, and latex fingertips or gloves for digital penetration. Vaccines are also available to protect against certain STIs and STDs (HPV, hepatitis A and B, etc.). Contraception does not protect against STIs.
