What is a sedentary lifestyle?

Categories FAQ
Sedentary lifestyle
General

Sedentary behaviour refers to time spent sitting, lying down or standing without moving, during which our energy expenditure is very low. It has exploded over the last few years with the massive use of screens for a large part of the day, particularly among young people, as highlighted by the MILDECA/HARRIS barometer conducted in 2020.
Physical activity is everyone's business, and can be integrated into all everyday situations: getting around, taking the stairs, doing DIY... Every extra step you take is good for your health.
