Sedentary lifestyle
General

For children aged 5 to 17, the WHO recommends at least 60 minutes of moderate to sustained physical activity per day. This activity should encourage endurance rather than excessive muscular effort, which couldit cause negative effects on their development. These activities can include outdoor recreation and physical activity planned within the school or family context. For children with an excessively sedentary lifestyle, we recommend gradually increasing the amount of daily physical activity, according to the child's abilities, by encouraging play toto motivate them.
