Are gentle activities (yoga/pilates) considered physical activities?

General

Physical activity includes all the movements produced by the muscles that ensure the body's mobility: biceps, abdominals... and increase energy expenditure. In this context, yoga and pilates are considered to be physical activities, and are even recommended to combat the sedentary lifestyle of non-sports enthusiasts. Yoga, on the other hand, is not considered a sport, as it does not meet the criteria of competition or improving physical fitness. However, practising yoga postures is still a very good form of physical exercise, recommended by the World Health Organization.
