Does lack of physical activity promote cancer?

Categories FAQ
Sedentary lifestyle
General

It has been scientifically proven that a sedentary lifestyle can actually encourage the onset of certain diseases, such as colon cancer, but also cardiovascular disease, diabetes and depression. Conversely, sufficient physical activity (150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity per week) leads to a significant reduction not only in the risk of colon cancer, but also breast cancer. It should be remembered that, on a global scale, a sedentary lifestyle is the fourth leading risk factor for non-communicable diseases, and is estimated to be responsible for between 3.2 and 5 million deaths per year.
