stress and diet

The relationship between stress and diet is complex, and works both ways. On the one hand, stress can modify food intake: some people will eat more when they're stressed, others won't be able to swallow anything under intense stress, while still others won't change their eating habits. On the other hand, a balanced diet can help to manage stress, while an unbalanced diet can exacerbate its deleterious effects.
