Eating habits

Eating at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day is one of the public authorities' key nutritional benchmarks. What's in it for you? Fruit and vegetables are particularly rich in essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and fibre, which have a positive effect on health. Their protective role against the onset of numerous diseases - cancer, cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes - has been demonstrated by a multitude of studies, all of which agree. However, fruit sometimes contains large amounts of sugar (fructose), and fruit juice is not the same as fruit.
