How do you assess your eating habits?
There are 3 techniques for assessing food intake: 24-hour recalls, which involve asking the person what they ate during the previous day (2 or 3 24-hour recalls will give you an idea of what they usually eat); food recording, in which the person records their food intake in a notebook over a period of several days; and frequency questionnaires, which collect the usual frequency of consumption of each food item from a pre-established list. A dietician or doctor can help you take stock.
