Papillomavirus

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a very common virus, affecting 70% of men and women during their sexual lives. They are distinguished according to their risk of causing cancer in humans. Only high-risk HPVs are screened with two types of examination. Before the age of 30, the Pap smear is the preferred test. After age 30, HPV testing is used to detect cancer-causing HPVs.
