What is the impact of Smoke-Free Month?
Smoke-free month took place for the first time in November 2016. Since then, more than 1,200,000 people have signed up to take up the challenge, including more than 110,000 people in 2020.
Numerous health establishments, associations and sports federations have taken up the event, organizing activities around the challenge throughout the month of November. What's all the fuss about? The chances of successfully quitting smoking are multiplied by 5 after one month's withdrawal. The solidarity between people trying to quit is also a precious help. It's a great motivator for people who are reluctant to start the process of quitting.
