Reasons for stopping

While the long-term health effects are often well known (gradual reduction in the risk of cardiovascular accidents, lung disease and numerous cancers, etc.), there are also immediate effects on everyday life. After two days without tobacco, taste and smell return, after 4 weeks the skin becomes more beautiful and after 3 months breathing is better and the individual feels more energetic. The benefits are also felt in the wallet: in France, a person who smokes a pack of cigarettes a day saves around 300 euros after a month of quitting, 3,600 euros after a year and almost 18,000 euros after 5 years. And, by giving up smoking, you're also protecting your family from the risks associated with passive smoking.
