I still feel like smoking with a patch. What should I do?

Stopping method

Do you wear a patch but still feel a strong urge to smoke? It's possible that this craving is linked to an underdose of nicotine in your patch. Contact your healthcare professional to review the dosage with him or her. However, the urge to smoke is a perfectly normal phenomenon when you've just given up smoking. In general, the urge to smoke lasts only a few minutes, during which time you can do anything to resist it: move to another room, go for a walk, drink a glass of water, take a nicotine gum, etc.
