What is the Nutri-Score?

PNNS

The Nutri-Score is a logo designed to help consumers make informed choices about their diet, and to encourage manufacturers to improve the nutritional quality of their products. It rates products on a color-coded scale from A (very good nutritional quality) to E (poor nutritional quality), according to two parameters: the content of nutrients and foods to be favored (such as fruit, vegetables, proteins, fiber, etc.) and the content of nutrients to be limited (such as sugar, salt, saturated fatty acids, etc.) Note that this rating represents only the nutritional profile of the product per 100g, and does not reflect its list of ingredients or its environmental impact. In addition, foods with a Nutri-Score D or E rating (such as chocolates or cheeses) are not foods to be banned from the diet, but foods to be consumed in reasonable quantities and frequency as part of a balanced diet.
