According to the French National Nutrition and Health Plan, vegetable oils are the fats of choice. There are many varieties (olive oil, rapeseed oil, walnut oil) and they provide interesting nutrients (omega 3, omega 6, vitamins) in different proportions. Omega 3s are essential fatty acids for your body: they benefit your brain and protect you from cardiovascular disease. Today, 98.8% of the French population has an inadequate intake of omega-3s. They are found particularly in rapeseed and walnut oils. Vary your oils to benefit from their beneficial properties.
