Why does eating fast make you fat?

Skipping a meal / Finishing your plate

Our brain needs time to receive signals from the stomach that we are eating. It is said that it takes around 20 minutes for the brain to let us know that we have eaten enough. Eating too quickly doesn't allow us to detect the state of satiety in time, and so food intake can be greater than the body needs.
