Why do soft drinks make you fat?
Sodas contain so-called "hidden" sugars, added during the manufacturing process, so it's difficult to realize just how much sugar is in a glass. To give you an idea, sugary drinks, including soft drinks, can contain as much as 6 to 8 sugar cubes per glass. These drinks therefore contain a lot of calories, and it's this excess of calories that can make you fat.
