Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B is a viral infection that attacks the liver. Current treatments can control the infection and thus halt the progression of the disease towards cirrhosis (destruction of liver cells) or liver cancer. The two possible treatments are regular antiviral treatment, or spaced subcutaneous injections designed to limit the multiplication of the virus.
