Can or should you stop smoking cannabis at the same time as cigarettes?

Categories FAQ

Other addictions

If you already smoke joints and want to stop smoking cigarettes, it's advisable to stop both at the same time, since one of the risks is over-consumption of joints when you stop smoking cigarettes. If you don't use cannabis and want to stop smoking, there's no point in starting with one to try and stop the other. On the contrary: you could develop a double addiction, since joints combine tobacco and cannabis, and withdrawal will be even more difficult.
