Does sex addiction have an impact on couples?
Sex addiction has a strong social impact, and in particular, a negative impact on married life. Studies have shown that this addiction, and in particular the consumption of pornographic content by one of the partners, leads to a loss of confidence in the relationship, and a reduction in sexual relations within the couple, as well as a drop in self-esteem, guilt and increased loneliness on the part of the partner, all of which can lead to marital tension, break-up or divorce.
