Philippe Martin holds a doctorate in public health from the Université de Paris Cité, and conducts research in the field of sexual health (sexual and emotional life, rights, transidentity), and more specifically on research methodologies for promoting young people's health (particularly on the Internet and Digital). He defended his thesis in December 2020 on the topic "Participatory online community as a tool for promoting the health of adolescents and young adults: towards a proof of concept applied to sexual and reproductive health.". This thesis was conducted within the ECEVE Inserm U1123 and "Sexual and reproductive health and rights" laboratories at INED.
His current research focuses on prevention and health promotion methods, particularly in the field of sexual health. He is in charge of the Sexpairs project, which aims to design, implement and evaluate a participatory online action for the promotion of young people's sexual and reproductive health, through peer education and the active participation of young people. It is associated with other ongoing research projects (sexual health and series, quality of life of transgender people, mental well-being of young people, smoking prevention).
