Biography of Laurent Cordonier

Laurent Cordonier, Doctor of Social Sciences, Director of Research, Descartes Foundation, Paris

Laurent Cordonier, Ph.D. in social sciences, is head of research at the Descartes Foundation in Paris. He conducts studies on issues relating to information, disinformation and public debate in the age of the Internet and social networks. 

In this capacity, he was a member of the "Enlightenment in the Digital Age" Commission (known as the "Bronner Commission"), at the request of the French President. 

He is also a research associate at Gemass, the Sorbonne University / CNRS sociology laboratory (UMR 8598).
