Biography of Jean-Bernard Schmidt

Jean-Bernard Schmidt, Deputy Director of the Centre de Formation des Journalistes, specialist in the fight against disinformation. Co-author of "Anti FakeNews" First Editions 2022 

Jean-Bernard Schmidt is a journalist, producer and specialist in the fight against disinformation. 

After graduating from the CFJ in 1995, he became a senior reporter with the France 2 newsroom, then deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine Complément d'enquête. He then became editor-in-chief and producer of the program Capital on M6. 

In 2014, he co-founded Spicee, an independent digital platform for documentaries and features, then Spicee Éduc, dedicated to media education and critical thinking. From 2018 to 2022, he teaches how to disentangle truth from falsehood at SciencesPo Paris. 

Since 2022, he has been Director of the Ecole W and the CFPJ work-study program, and Deputy Director of the Centre de Formation des Journalistes. He is co-author of "Anti Fakenews", published by First Editions in 2022.
