The Foundation, Sport dans la ville and the Chabotte estate
On June 11, 2021, the association Sport dans la ville, laid the 1st stone of the Domaine de Chabotte, its future vacation center, in the Drôme region of France. Prevention workshops for young people will be financed by the Foundation.
Every summer, one child in four does not go on vacation. In 2020, the health crisis exacerbated the difficulties faced by children and young people in priority neighborhoods.
To enable the 7,000 young people supported by the association to go on vacation, Sport dans la Ville wanted to build a vacation and training center.
Surrounded by the project's partners, including Ramsay Sante Foundation, the Sport dans la Ville association laid the 1st stone of its center located in the heart of the Drôme Provençale region.
The event unveiled the project to completely renovate the estate, which will open its doors to all the association's young people in June 2022.
A supporter and partner of the Lyon-based association for nearly 3 years, the Foundation has offered to create and finance preventive health workshops. These playful learning experiences will enable young people on vacation at Chabotte to discover what a healthy diet is, the benefits of physical activity and how to manage their emotions. The workshops are co-constructed with the youngsters, as part of a social marketing approach, and may involve staff from the nearby Clinique Kennedy and Hôpital privé Drôme Ardèche.
