Has the pandemic played a role in sex addiction?
Little research has been carried out post-Covid, specifically on sex-addictive behavior. However, one study has taken stock of the impact of the health crisis on addictive behavior (gambling, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex), and revealed that the health crisis has indeed led to an upheaval in the consumption of licit and illicit substances and behaviors (sex, gambling, Internet, etc.). It has also been shown that excessive use of online sexual activities, and pornography in particular.
